WELCOME to West U YBL Basketball
Another exciting season is nearing the end!!!

The last day for practices of this season will be on January 24th. Teams that have games the week of January 26th will practice at their designated time and location. Practices at West U Methodist will be reassigned due to a church event at the gym.

We are planning to have a bigger and better program for the 2026_2027 season! Registration will take place on this website beginning in September. Check back here for updates as we approach the start of another season.

Game Schedules can be viewed on this website under "Game Schedules". Check with your coach if there are conflicts. We are trying to minimize as many reschedules as possible

Each team will play a minimum of six regular season games. 3rd grade and older will have playoffs at the end of the season.

All games and practices are held at West U Baptist, CityRise Bellaire, West U UMC, or other potential gyms in the West U area.

Practices will be held on Saturdays and games are played on weeknights at area gyms.

We continue to strive to meet the needs for a quality youth basketball program in the West U area!
Open to All
The League will be open to boys and girls currently in 2nd through 6th grade. Residency in West U is not required.
There will be a minimum of four teams in each grade/gender group for that particular grade/gender group to operate. Teams will play at least six regular season games. Full refunds will be issued if a grade level does not have a minimum number of teams.
Practice Venues
All games and practices will be held at West U Methodist, West U Baptist, or the CityRise Bellaire. Most practices will be on Saturdays.

Parent Coaches
Parents or volunteers will coach the single-grade boys and girls teams. Team rosters will be finalized and then practices begin.
Games and Practices
There will generally be one game and one practice per week. Breaks will be taken for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and the season will end in late January 2026.
Practices started on Saturday, October 28th. The practice schedule is published on this website.
Games began the week of November 6th. Game schedules will also be published on this website when finalized.
Directions to Gyms
All games and practices will be held at West U UMC, West U Baptist, or CityRise Church-Bellaire.
PLEASE NOTE: NO food or beverages other than water are allowed in the gyms.

Entrance to the gym is located on Amherst (one-way street going west) across from the West U Fire Station. The gym is located on the 2nd floor and is accessible by stairs or elevator. Street parking is available across the street from the gym entrance. See attached map.

Gym entrance is on the west side of the campus near the parking area. Take the stairs to the 2nd floor gym. Additional parking is available on the south end of the parking entrance and on University Blvd.

Parking is available on the South Side of the church property. Entrance to the gym is located on the East side of the church, parallel to Ave. B.
